Mountain View – A place to call home

The driving force behind this home remodeling was the creation of a home environment where usable space gets expanded, and the deluge of wooden features give a warm emotion to the entire house.

Right from the living area, the lightwood flooring introduces us to the main theme of the house, completed by natural wood furnishings, and a wooden handrail that continue the same design perspective to the next floor.

The kitchen area now has a surprising L-shaped kitchen island that provides both spatial functionality, as well as an interesting focus point for that space.

The bathroom follows the same warm design of the house, with masonry elements kept to a minimum, and a layout where shower and bathtub form a contrasting symmetry as they are now placed in opposite bathroom zones.

For the master bedroom, we opted for a simple and practical approach, retaining the same warmth as the rest of the house.

A great project where the SOD team turned yet another house into a home.
